SCARVAULT — Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 October 2026
What this is
SCARVAULT is a personal business operations tool, run by its owner on their own computer, for their own accounts. It is not offered to the public, not sold, and has no users other than its owner.
These terms exist because connecting a bank account through a licensed account information service provider requires them. They describe what the software does and what it does not do.
What it does
- Reads account balances and transactions from accounts the owner has
authorised at their own bank.
- Matches those transactions against marketplace payouts and business
expenses, so that money is recorded as received when it has actually arrived.
- Keeps the results in a local database on the owner's machine.
What it does not do
- It does not initiate payments. Access is requested for account
information only. There is no payment-initiation functionality in the software.
- It does not move, convert or withdraw money, and cannot change payout
destinations or account details.
- It does not handle bank credentials. Authentication happens at the
bank; SCARVAULT never receives a password or PIN.
- It does not share account data with any third party.
Account information access
Access is granted by the owner at their bank under PSD2, lasts until the consent expires or is withdrawn, and may be withdrawn at any time through the bank's own interface. Enable Banking Oy, a registered Account Information Service Provider regulated by the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA), provides the connection.
No warranty, no advice
The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It reports what it read; it does not guarantee that a reading is complete, current or correct, and a bank may be unavailable or may change what it returns.
Nothing SCARVAULT produces is financial, accounting, tax or legal advice. The owner remains responsible for their own records and filings.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the author accepts no liability arising from use of the software. As the author and the only user are the same person, this allocates no risk to anyone else.
Changes
These terms may change as the software does. The version in effect is the one published at the URL registered with the application.
